OUATTARA FETES WEAH IN ABIDJAN

ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire – Former Liberian President George M. Weah met with Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, during a visit to the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.
The two leaders reaffirmed their longstanding personal relationship, built on years of collaboration, and discussed pressing regional challenges.
Despite no longer holding office, Weah has maintained close ties with Ouattara. Their talks focused on the evolving global geopolitical landscape and strategies to help West African nations navigate resulting economic pressures.
President Ouattara expressed appreciation for Weah’s continued engagement in regional development initiatives and signaled openness to future collaborations with the former Liberian leader.
