MONROVIA, Aug 25 – The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has unveiled a 23-member committee tasked with spearheading the rapid construction of its new national headquarters, just two days after Liberian authorities demolished the party’s previous headquarters on August 23, 2025.

Appointed by former President and CDC Standard Bearer George Weah, the CDC National Headquarters Construction Committee will be chaired by House Speaker Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, with Sen. Nathaniel F. McGill as Co-Chairman and Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. as Advisor. The committee also features representatives from across the party, including youth and women’s league, technical advisors, and party officials:

Hon. Lenn Eugene Nagbe will coordinate the project, which is mandated to deliver the new facility within one year. The committee may form sub-committees as needed for specialized tasks.

CDC stated it continues to receive significant grassroots support and expects a surge in donations following the headquarters’ demolition, widely criticized as politically motivated. A designated bank account will soon be open to coordinate all contributions, with multiple payment methods facilitated for supporters.

Meanwhile, CDC Chairman Janga Kowo has been directed to address the press regarding the government’s raid on the headquarters, the alleged abduction of CDC members, and ongoing legal challenges facing the party.
